Lost Super and how you can find yours...

There is over 9 billion dollars of lost super out there awaiting for you the owners to collect it. I'll just say that again 9 billion dollars!!

Where does it all come from? Where you have worked part time, where you have left a few thousand here and a few thousand there. A lot of it is from people who have traveled here and worked part time. The issue is that some of it could be yours.

And not only is there 9 billion in lost super there is probably twice as much in other accounts, old bank accounts, old building society accounts and old mutual accounts, billions and billions of dollars.

OK so where is all this lost super, well the 55,nice man at the Tax Office has it. The lost super is given over to the government when the owner has not contacted the financial establishment where the money was invested. There is a law that states that money must be given over to the government to look after. Once it is in there then you gain very little in way of interest etc, but it is fairly safe.

What you now have to do is go and look for it, there are a number of services that will do this for you, some charge, but really there is little need to pay if you are happy to spend a few hours looking on the internet yourself.

For lost super the first place to look is ato online for other lost money go to Fido.

It could be like winning on a few number on the lottery. I know because I get post to my house, that I keep returning with "not known at this address" but once I opened two of these letters, just because I had a load of post. In it there were two accounts, one for over $5,500 and one for $6,000 that the past owners of our house have just left behind.

Now wouldn't you like to find $5,500 to out into your retirement fund?

Now that is only two ways to find lost super and lost money, the other way is to go and check all your own finances. I did this and I found thousands of dollars I had in investments that I had forgotten about and was not really keeping tabs on. These were endowments that got left over when I sold a house, two pensions that I had with lumps of money that I got in bonuses cheque etc. When I cashed all these in, in fact I sold the investments on the secondary markets, I got a very nice suprise.

Now I go through all the steps that you have to take to do this and supply all the letter templates that you need to carry this type of exercise out in my guide on now to "Retire Rich a Proven step-by-stetp Guide - Guarenteed to work..."

Six-Step-Guide to Success that you can download free.

To find all your super etc from the Government go to lost super and other lost money link on Fido.
